For Purpose-Driven Creators
“Tap. Learn. Share.” is a NFC Reader App to be used with Electronic Shelf Labels at groceries and retailers. It sends the user to microsites for coupons, recipe videos, and how to product videos.
We helped develop the brand’s visual direction and strategy, and worked closely with the Sue, the Co-Founder, to discover the brand’s voice and direction. We loved how this project turned out!
We dove into the App’s competitors and discovered that this colour palette will stand apart from the rest. Not only did we establish a colour palette that differs to what’s currently available in the market today, we made sure that it was embedded into the brand’s identity. When we spoke with Sue, the co-founder of the app, she wanted each word from “TAP. LEARN. SHARE.” to be highly individualized and distinguished in both the icon and the typeface. This was a challenge that we worked hard to succeed.
The brand’s identity can be defined in the word mark alone, or accompanied by the icon. Together, each word has been defined by its own colour, in order to be distinguished as its own. This has also been reflected in the icon as well, correlating with the 3 colours chosen in the wordmark.
The icon itself is a representation of the user’s action when engaging with the app— to tap, learn, and share. The finger and the 3 defined colours of action, showcases the functionality behind the app. Essentially, users will tap, learn, and share content.
Of course, a brand cannot only be defined by the wordmark and icon alone. To add to the brand’s visual direction and identity, we chose components like the photography direction, a fitting typeface family, and what the key visual of the brand would look like live in the world and in comparison to today’s market.
